Cidade group assignment

Split up acts among groups (pairs and threes).

Looking for a presentation of about 5 minutes.

This film relies heavily on delayed information, flashbacks, digressions, distractions, interruptions, and patterning to tell the story it wants to tell, in the way it wants to tell it. It is also very much about cameras and photography, and we sense the cinematographers want to leave a special stylistic signature on it.

We all have a basic understanding of how a story functions through our study of McKee. We have studied stories that use only words, and those that use words and moving pictures. In your groups, identify two (2) significant examples of visual storytelling that are critical to advancing this story--getting us invested in the character, or "rooting" for the character, advancing a plot or sub-plot. These examples may include a strategy of cinematography that lends particular power to a specific sceneā€”or transition between scenes. Your examples might be interlinked within in a single scene, or sequence. Say how these examples are essential to the story the film wants to tell.

Framing [still camera]

Sound/Music [some is in the world, some is in the film but not the world]
